Is it common for the fuel gauge to stop working on these cars? I believe that it stopped working this weekend, around the same time that I changed the struts. (I'm guessing that the struts aren't around any of the fuel sender parts)

Probably just blew a fuse or knocked a connector loose in the rear when putting in the struts.

if you dont find a blown fuse. This model may have a voltage regulator on the instument cluster that goes bad . it usually effects the temp gauge as well when it goes out. Its a pretty cheap part at the dealer.

mine did the same thing. Did you ever find out what it was? My coolant gauge still works (thank god). But no fuel gauge, the low fuel light still comes on, just no needle response.
