Broken front passenger window broken

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I just wanted to share my story.

Yesterday morning I found that my Versa had been broken into . The thieves stole an ipod and two car charges, one for the Ipod and the other for the GPS ( thank God I don't ever leave the GPS in.) My insurance doesnt cover it b\c i have $500 dollar deductible (I've now changed that). The dealer is charging $325 for installation and replacement of window . Anyhow, I went and bought the replacement part from Nissan for $99 and will have a reputable auto glass repair shop install it for $40 I know the people.

Sorry for your loss man, get that V fixed up ASAP! I hope those thieves get bad karma.

Anyway, do you have ANY idea who might have done this? What do you recall from the past? Did you say the wrong things to the wrong people when having conversations? Or was this just a random act?

What's the name of the autobody glass place you're going to take the V?

thanks MHV.The glass doesnt come in until tomorrow. so I figured after work I'll get it done. The car is garaged for now.

I think it was just a random act - It happens in my area a lot NYC - I'm taking it to this place - ... cant find the right website but they're good people.

I've had 2 broken windshields in the past month. Not theft related or anything. Just a lot construction on I-4 down here in FL and I drive 25 miles on it everyday. Freakin' rocks are getting on my nerves. Luckily in Florida the insurance company has to pay 100% of the cost and it doesn't reflect negatively on me. I've never had a broken windshield on any of my cars before but now I get 2 in 1 month. weird. Just thought I'd share.

Sorry to hear about that man, Same thing that happen to me..luckily i got a friend who's a tech in a Nissan dealership so i got the discount on parts and installation of the glass.

oh man im sorry! hope everything works out. something happend to me like that, except some guy got out of his car with a crowbar and bashed my passenger window in with me in it at a stoplight. i still find glass in my car to this day and its been 13 months.

Hide the stuff - I know its a hassle but a repeat visit may be in the cards.
