I had a fan blade break off of the fan on my 1990 300ZX. I need to replace it, was wondering if there was an upgraded fan to use rather than the OEM part. Any suggestions?

Also, I am thinking of leaving the fan shroud off, would this be extremely detrimental to cooling or can I get away with it?

The fan shroud is 150% needed, otherwise the fan will just pull air from every direction. You need the shroud to make sure all that air is getting pulled through the radiator and A/C condensor.

And the OEM fan is best. There are electric fans you can swap out for, but the cons usually outweigh the pros.

My fan blade was cracked questionably close to the edges. For once I just picked up an ebay part since this is a very basic thing of plastic with a little metal. Fleabay was $35 shipped. Z1/CZP were $100+
