Okay so my 94 Nissan Altima With 56k on the engine and trans just took a s*** on me.

I was driving on the 5 and my car felt like the gas was depleted but i had a full tank. It puttered and then just died. No restart was successful. It turns but wont start. All power works (windows radio etc.) So what could it be?

Welcome to NICO!

Could be something related to ignition or alternator? Was the vehicle misfiring? It is also possible that the fuel pump died. Have you had it looked at?

Its not the alternator because i still have full power and it cranks. No misfires at all. I was thinking fuel pump, but would a fuel filter or even an engine fuse?

If it were anything electrical, it is possible that it is a relay of some sort, but you'd likely have a check engine light associated with that. I'm not sure about older Altimas, but the newer ones do not use a serviceable fuel filter.

I know fuel pumps tend to go out on the mid 90s models around 75k miles. Your 94 Altima uses the KA24DE engine, which uses a distributor if memory serves correctly. Did you have a diagnostic run on it to see if you had any trouble codes thrown?
