So as some of you may know my car broke down a couple weeks ago "because" of my LED underglow kit. When I took my car to Nissan they inspected it and gave me a call saying that they could not cover the towing bill because it was "my fault" and not theirs simply because a screw that was holding up the LED kit was piercing the wire harness on the sides of the car under the carpet.

Well... I inspected this myself and the wire harness is about 2-4 inches away from each screw that is holding them LED's up. Than on Friday my car decided that it was going to break down again. I wasn't too worried about it because I figured I could just replace the Fuel Pump fuse and I'd be good to go so I could deliver the car to Nissan. I got 5 more fuses (just in case), and once it was put in the car blew the fuse as soon as it turned over so therefore it wouldn't start. We went through 3 fuses trying different things that even included taking off my LED kit (which still didn't help).

I once again got my car towed down to Nissan and they know me by name down there now so the lady looked up my car and told me that last time I was in they had to replace my Fuel Pump Module (which they never told me previously) so I was shocked that they wouldn't cover my towing for that time. Than after about 2 hours of them having the car they gave me a call and said that I needed a Integrated Power Module and that will for sure fix the problems that I am having. He told me to come down and get a rental car at their expense. Which I was happy with..

When I got there he said that their parts system is down and they won't be able to even order the part until Tuesday (because of Sunday, and Monday is Labor Day). So they don't know how long it will take to ship to them and than they don't know how long it will take to replace. So until than I am driving a 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid that is actually nice.

They also agreed to pay for this towing and he said he will try and get the towing for the last break down taken care of too because it wasn't actually my fault. So hopefully next week sometime I will be back in my Versa and I am crossing my fingers that this won't happen again because my warranty is almost over. But on another not I got $600 ready to spend on some mods when she gets back into my hands. :D

Ill post some pictures of the Altima either later tonight or tomorrow.

That's the biggest issue I have with places such as Cartoys or Bestbuy, you don't know whether they will do a good job unless you know the person. I would of just settled with the OEM LEDs in the first place. Probably would of saved you alot of hassle and time.

At least Nissan offered you a loaner for a while until you're back in the Versa. How do you like the Altima Hybrid?

It turns out that it wasn't my LED's that were causing the problems. Something weird just happened. My car still broke down again after the lights were disconnected. Also they don't have the OEM lights that go underneath the car. A picture below is what I'm talking about.

Also I like the Altima Hybrid actually. For some reason I do like my Versa more though. The Altima has the iKey as well which is nice but it also has this cool "ignition" for the iKey. If your iKey battery is low you just plug it into the car and it knows and will start. It also is a push button start. I will post some pictures of all the goodies soon. :D

damn Steed, that's a really nice car.

Hey Codelicious... I'm glad they decided that they would've covered the expenses for your car especially the towing. I know it sucks that this happened but better now that after the warranty runs out. Good luck man and get that Altima pics up

Those wheels look awesome.

What make and model are those rims? May want a set for my Versa next year.

Despite their failure to cover your towing last time, I'd say that's pretty impressive. There aren't many normal-tier (not Infinit/BMW/etc.) dealers who are willing to provide complimentary loaners to econocar owners. Definitely makes a good impression.

Looks like some kind of BBS knockoff. Doesn't look like a BBS logo in the center, so I don't think they're real BBSs.

Very nice car... enjoy it while it last. I've gotten a loaner from my dealer before when they took my car in for service and didn't have it service that day and no one had called me to notify me of anything, the shuttle didn't even come to get me to take me back to the dealership to get my car. Basically they just totally screwed up that day. The next morning bright and early the shuttle came for me and took me to the dealership and they gave me a loaner so that I was able to go to work but unfortunately I wasn't as lucky as you are to get an Altima. I got a Versa HB instead.

Ok so Nissan called today and said that they needed the Altima back because they needed it for something else. I understood this because the car they gave me apparently wasn't actually a rental car. Apparently they use it for something else, so they sent me on down to Enterprise.

I don't know if anyone has dealt with them before but I was very unhappy with their service. The lady didn't allow me to request anything (I wanted a manual transmission.) and automatically decided that it would be best for me to get the car I already have. I figured ok thats fine assuming that it would be of value to my car (SL). Well they gave me the base model hatchback, and when I say base model.. I mean the base model. lol

Maybe its just me but I really do not like the car they provided for me. I am grateful that I am getting a free rental car, but their (Enterprises) policies are a bit excessive. The lady that served me was extremely rude. She made me take a tour of the car with her to see if I notice any scratches, dents, ect.. she walked right past this big scratch in the side so I pointed it out to her. She came up looked at it and said, "This doesn't matter because it doesn't penetrate the paint." and just walked off like I was dumb. She than tried to get me pay for this "insurance" incase something happened like a rock chip for $40 out of my pocket.

All and all; I am very unhappy with Enterprise. I will definitely let Nissan know about my experience so that maybe they can provide better service to others in the future or change rental places.

Well if it was the hatchback, then it wasn't a true base. It would have a/c and a 1.8 liter unlike the most basic sedan. Still sucks though.

Wow, I thought this was the true base model. It seems gutless (super slow). Maybe thats just cause I have the CVT in my car and this one is an AT.

our enterprise is good, except the bossier one is with Mike morgan pontiac/gmc so they have ONLY gm cars. =/ Have to go to the next citys enterprise to get a variety. ANd ours lets you choose the transmission and even if you want a pick up, sub compact, compact, midsize, full size, van, suv., etc.

Although their cars arent always good. My mom got a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, with already 90k miles, the back passengers door (behind driver) had a broken handle, one of the back seat belts didnt work, and the seats were covered in dog hair, but they didnt have anything else so they made her have that one or she had to wait till one came in.

luckly it was only 3 days then they had a 09 impala for her, still with temp tags.

Yeah they didn't give me any option. I know that they Versa isn't the only car they had there because they had a couple other ones sitting in their parking lot. Also there is another Enterprise literally 2 blocks away. Maybe I should have went to that one instead but Nissan shuttled me to this one specifically.

Nissan said that my car SHOULD be done tomorrow night. Thats if the part gets shipped in tomorrow. I am keeping my fingers crossed! I miss my car!

Not to mention I have to get my Underglow hooked back up since that wasn't the problem!

Kind a sounds like you're just being pushed around by both Nissan and Enterprise. You should have talked to Nissan about Enterprise before and let them know that they were giving you a bad attitude and that you would be picking up a car at the other location, instead of that one. I deal with Enterprise all the time when renting and that's at least 3 times for the year and I find them to be good. Anyway, good luck with getting the part for your car and enjoy the rental while it last... And oh, try to prevent any scratches or else Enterprise will probably try and get you to buy the car off them...
