sort of off topic but not really. anyway some ****weed the other day busted my door lock on the passenger side of my s13 trying to break into it. he pryed open a hole below my door handle and busted the clip that holds the lock in the door so now the lock is somewhere inside my door. Does anyone know how to repair this if at all??? or should I just pay my 300 dollar deductable and get my insurance to pay for it??? or would a lock smith be able to help me out???

I took it apart and the key doesn't even go into the lock anymore and they broke the little clip that holds the cylinder in the hole. would a locksmith be able to install the new lock for me??? And what do i do about the hole in my door right under the handle.

I understand thanks for the help anyway. I'm not to experienced with these sort of things and plus its a really tight fit inside the door. Where would I take it, to get it all fixed up? locksmith? or body shop? or mechanic?

well here's the thing my Door locks (I got power doorlocks) and opens fine its just a got the big gapping holes there i don't water to get into them and start rusting out my door. I'll have to take a really good look at it and see if any scrap yards got parts. Can a locksmith re-key a used lock cylinder I get at the bone yard?

*3-year bump*

I have the same problem 240canuck had...

Someone tried to break in, and pried the keyhole on the passenger side open and screwed with it. The key doesn't turn in the cylinder anymore... can I get a new one from the junkyard and get a locksmith to make it work with my key?

Thanks
