All you need is a tie rod fork and a big *** hammer to get the ball joint seperated from the spindle. Then unbolt the bolt in the back. A new one is abouyt $45.00 at World Suspension.

I'm assuming this is your front LCA. If the car broke one it will probably break another. Especially as you start driving it harder and the cars state of tune progresses. What you'll need to do is reinforce the new one and the remaining one that's still on the car fron the bottom. Any competent welder should be able to do it. There was a thread in the suspension forum about it but I can't remember exactly what it was called. Just search.

I've heard of many people breaking the front LCA's. How did you break the rear?

Maybe i have it wrong im pretty sure its a control arm ........ ill explain what it looks like ... its the A frame kind of looking thing that connects to the bottom of the (i dont know the names of all the stuff ) but i think it pretty much keeps your tire straight, but awhile ago i slammed into a curb while i was drifting (messin around is more like it) and bent the tire at first i didnt know what was bent until the ****er broke , but it was rusted pretty bad. (One day i showed my freind how much power i gained back when i reinstalled my clutch and was getting on it pretty hard) and i think that finally just snapped it .......

wow, so you smashed a curb and didn't check out your suspension afterwards?? Did you at least check you're allignment? You're talking about the rear lower arm, just go pull another one from the junkyard and replace it.

Here, to help you out, here's an exploded diagram of the rear S13 suspension. Courtesy of SPL.

It's a $25 fix if you get it from a pull-a-part junkyard.

You need 17 and 19mm sockets/wrenches. Which side of the car is damaged?

I have an extra pair of rear LCA's if you want one. Send me an e-mail if you're interested.
