Ok so i had to re-do my headgasket due to it not sealing... when installing camshafts i forgot to change my torque wrench and the front intake bolt (the longer on out the two) snapped. It snapped about an inch inside the head. I tried drilling into it and then using the easyout, but that didnt work too good as i am missing the small bits. Can i drive it like that to the shop? Any other tips?

easy out?

Anytime I have had a problem like that I have just bought a reversing drill bit. basically one that cuts counter-clockwise instead of normal.

ok, if someone else has the same problem im just gonna post how im doing it and how it's coming out. I got a cobalt drill bit, because anything else wont make a dent in the hardened steel that tap it made out of. Even then i had a hard time getting anything, so i got a punch and a hammer and went at it a little. That did the trick, it loosened the broken piece a bit and i could resume the drilling process. Im still a half inch away from the original position, but hopefully i wont have any more surprises along the way. I'll report back tomorrow with the results, hopefully it'll be up and running with no further problems...
