I've built my motor and I'm at the part where I'm installing my cams. I started on the intake side and I made sure it was lined up right. All the lobes were where they were supposed to be, the timing chain gray link lined up perfectly with the dot on the cam gear. I began to tighten the cam holders starting with the #3 holder, it went down fine, then I went #2 holder and it was going down fine but it was a little snug. It didn't get tight at all then I hear a snap and saw my cam broken. I couldn't have bent a valve cause the valves wouldn't have hit anything the way the lobes were.

Can a stock cam weaken after a while because I got pissed and took off the broken cam and threw it at the floor and it broke again?

Any info will really help.

Thanks

What?

You broke a cam by torquing your bolts down too tight, then you broke your broken cam again? You try to confuse.

That's why they have a trqing sequence in the FSM... You're suppose to alternate back and forth, no just 1 cam cap at a time.
