Broken bolt for sensor...

OK, so I was trying to do a 10 min job to replace the intake valve timing control sensor on Bank 2 and the bolt snapped off with little effort (must have been corroded). This is going to be a fun job to remove...I'm thinking I'll have to drill out and re-tap. I have a small broken bolt remover set, but those things suck unless it was going to come out anyay...

Does anyone know what thread size the small 10mm bolts are on the sensors...and just about everything else accessory wise on a 2001 Pathfinder?

Yeah I did that a while back, have learned to replace the bolts. Used a screw extractor to get it out.

I think I'm going to order a bunch of stainless bolts from Fastenal to replace the original ones as I work on them...

I dont know the exact nissan spec length but I think it may even be a 16mm

My local Ace Hardware has a nice selection of stainless metric bolts.

An easy-out will probably get it out.

Biggest complaint on Patfhinder, the bolts. I hope they got them real cheap..... Nothing like trying to do a quick fix like jpedderson said and breaking the bolts.

Just measured... Bolt size is M6x1.0 x 16mm (tip to just under hex head). Found a great price on them at:
