I don't post too much, but I had an issue today...completely my fault.I was getting out of my car on the passenger side and ended up stepping on my jack cord and firstbent my aux jack, part of the jack cord is in my aux plug and then broke the plastic peice that is around the aux jack. Is this replaceable without replacing the entire radio? and is this something that they would cover under warranty even though it was my fault?

Hello FanaticalKira, and welcome to the NICOClub Rogue Forums!

I suggest taking it back to the dealer to see what they can do. I highly doubt they will cover this under warranty, but it's worth trying.

Unfortunately, you cannot buy any individual replacement parts for the radio, but they may be able to get a refurbished one at a reduced price. Another option is to look for a used radio at an auto recycler/salvage yard.

It is time to look at some aftermarket alternatives if you need to change the whole radio. You will probably have more options and better sound for about the same price as buying an OEM one.

Great minds think alike... that's what I was going to suggest. "If the dealer won't fix / repair it under warranty (which is doubtful) I would not pay them to install a new radio. I would instead go to a couple car sterero stores or even Best Buy and look at their selection. There are plenty of aftermarket radios that will fit the opening in the Rogue dash, that will offer more functionality, will sound better and cost less than anything a dealer will install. If you are handy and not afraid to tackle the job you can save even more money by installing it yourself. Crutchfield has great technical support and offers all the accessories you'll need to swap it out.

There are also members in this forum who have "replaced" their stock Rogue radios for a better unit. You might want to try searching this forum for threads on the subject and contacting one of them to see if they'll sell you their old radio.

One of the early problems faced by Rogue owners was there were no aftermarket dash fit kits for the Rogue because it was a new car on the market. That is no longer the case. Even eBay has plenty of hem:

If you have soldering skills, the cheapest fix would be removing the radio, taking it apart and replacing the jack...You could probably order the exact 1/8 female jack thru digikey or mouser for only a few bucks.
