Like so many others it seems my driver seat has broken and now leans decidedly to the left. From what I gathered from the internet is that this is a fairly common and expensive problem to have and that I need a new track assembly or something along those lines. Is that something I can salvage off another seat or am I SOL? Also does anybody know the part number for that assembly?

It is not the track that is broken but the "bracket" where the lower seat attaches to the upper. When I got my M it had the same problem. I did not take pictures but it is pretty straight forward if you know how to weld.
Take out the seat (4 bolts). Re attach the electrical and recline the seat back so that it is horizontal.
Flip the seat over and take the leather cover off the bottom (easy to do, when you look at it you will figure it out)
Flip the seat back over and you will see where it broke apart. At this point I also removed the seat back cover, disconnected the leather cover and pulled it up about three inches to avoid burning it.
Line up the lower seat to the bracket and just weld it back together
I used a MIG welder and also added a "triangulation" brace to keep it from happening in the future

It is not hard at all and took me about 2 hours from start to finish. You will have to reset the airbag light but that's easy--just do a search.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions.
