I broke the keeper tab on my CVT dipstick and it no longer locks in place but still fits nice and snug in the tube. Does that matter or should I buy a new one?

Thanks,

Its piece of mind if you buy a new one, i did this during a drain and refill about 3 weeks ago, it fits snug still...hasnt moved one bit. Check it every few days for a while and make sure it isnt moving loose. If not, personally, I wouldnt worry. Mine never moved so I stopped worrying. Lol.

Yeah I just checked it yesterday and hit hadn't moved. I just wasn't sure if the CVT gets pressurized or something like that. Maybe they just put the tab on there so people don't constantly pull it out thinking its the engine oil dip stick.
