Appreciate it!VStar650CL wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2026 5:03 amIt's okay to glue or tape pretty much any part of the intake leading to the air filter, including the bottom half of the airbox. The worst that happens is you allow a little warm engine-box air into the intake stream. Repairing the top of the box risks letting dirty air past the filter, and anyplace after the MAF you're risking vacuum leaks and unmetered flow.
FYI, Imgur is now popping up a stupid "disable your ad blocker" message. I'll be dipped in s#it before I turn off my blocker for anybody, so I can't analyze your wiggle. Maybe try YouTube.
Yep, that worked. Your gut is correct. The red thing in the diagram below is a resonator, you can block the port and eliminate it if necessary. The engine just may "howl" a bit without it.RunningCucumber wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2026 6:58 amI think I got YouTube to work - https://youtube.com/shorts/xJ3DzwwqQgc? ... MLxf68pNEz
My gut tells me that piece is secured by the whole snorkel snapping into the front and resonator bracket
