Alright hey everyone. My names Julian, and im 17. I dont have a job so you wont be seeing anything special to be honest. It will take me a while to get parts but Id like to show you what I do to my car.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: My SISTER(OLDER) bought it for $1,500, an she moved and gave it to me. it actually has 212,000 miles in it. It runs good. Clean tittle and all. I purchased this car to work on, and learn everything about it while im in the process. So please, if you'd like give advice but dont flame =/

So heres my car right now: (AS OF FEBUARY 1ST, 2010)

stock everything, but the 5 lug conversion as someone told me

and here is my car as of NOW ( MARCH 5TH, 2010)

UPDATES: - Oil change- Changed Spark plugs- All fluid levels are checked- Engine wiped down- Sanded down front bumper(paint was terrible and peeling off)- Tinted windows(front - 20%, rear 5%, back 5%)- Painted rims black- New brake pads(front and rear)- Stereo system(pioneer surround, two 10' earthquakesubs, 1200 almani amp, alpine deck)- ricer rear view mirror- Carbon fiber shift nob- lol air freshener- super clean interior- no rust(that i know of other than hood)- Added new lugs with locks-Fixed squeeking in front wheels

PROBLEMS:- need to paint-Wheel allignment(bumper, door dings, keyed partshood rust, brake calipers?)- possible wheel allignment- car shakes SOMETIMES, when going 55-65 mph(wheel allignment problem?- left daytime running light is not working, left blinker light is not bright and clicking really fast(my dumb a** pulled a wire out that messed it up, where can i go toget that fixed? i heard i had to solder is but idk how nor i have the tool)- need to replace one of my reverse tail light

FUTURE:- Newer KA24DE engine- Turbo?- Cold air intake(injen, aem)- Coilovers(tein?)- exhaust, anything that doesnt make fart noises- new front windshield- header/downpipe- paintjob- Maitinence/engine parts(newer)- E brake button(aftermarket)

*i called my last thread a build thread, but it wasnt necessarily a build thread so i made this one. its just showing what im doing to my car, and id like your opinions and help if possible. thanks guys!

If you put in new brake pads, sometimes filing the sharp edge off of the leading side of the pad will aid in keeping squeaking down, did you use brake cleaner on your rotors before re-assembly? Might be some residual dust still on there from the old pads. Nice find and congrats. Keep us updated!

The car looks good.but some of your thoughts confuse me. Why do you want a new engine and why do you want to repaint your car?

Do you want to pay someone else to do it, or are you gonna do it yourself?

If you know someone in a shop you might be able to get a deal for about $150 if you do the prep work $250 if they do the prep work. Thats PPG 2 base coats, 2 color coats, 3 clear. It will last forever if taken care of. Not that macco crap that lasts a year.
