Broke down 240 need of HELP!

i drove my car really hot one day ( due to the fact that i didn't have anti-freeze or water in my radiator ) and now it wont start i took it apart and the headgasket gave and there was water all up in my piston's i replaced the gasket's removed the water checked the fuel rail and injector's , timing chain was good and so was everything else but when i put it back together it wanted to crank ocer but it would'nt i know it might be a compression thing ? im pretty sure i blew the piston rings when i ran it hot .

so i have a 96 base model 240sx and don't know whether they have 3 ring's per piston or four? , its the regular KA24DE ,but im not sure??

also i put an egr block off valve on my car cause the egr tube was'nt going to reach my hotshot header so i pinched it and took it off , would this in any way be hurtful to the engine.?
