I have posted here before about using a G20's ECU in my 200sx SE-R, but I can not find one within my price range (<$100) so I have a couple questions.

1) Does anyone know where I can find a G20 ECU for <$100?

2) Has anyone used a product like the Greddy Speed Cut Controller (http://www.nipponpower.com/product.phtml?p=514) or the HKS Speed Limit Defencer (http://www.nipponpower.com/product.phtml?p=506) and could give me a review?

3) Is there an affordable programable ecu out there somewhere?

4) Am I crazy to think that I can tune up my car on a budget?

1) No. A Calum daughterboard is as close to that price as you're going to get. Google it.

2) I haven't heard of one installed on a Sentra. In fact, I've never heard of those products at all.

3) See 1.

4) No, but this isn't the way to go about it. Removing your top speed cutoff doesn't help you in any reasonable way. There are very few situations where a stock SE-R (or even a moderately modded one) will even get to 110.

Save your money and buy a useful mod. What mods do you have now, if any? With $100 you ought to be able to find a decent used header (SS Autochrome comes to mind) or intake.

Thanks for the info. My only reservation about the calum daughterboard is that my 200sx is my daily driver, so removing the ecu so someone can put a daughterboard in it is kinda out of the question.

Other than that, I have several other mods in mind, and I have figured out ways of doing them relatively cheaply. The removal of my nemesis (the speed limiter) is the only thing I can't quite figure out (other than dropping $1000+ into a AEM ECU or having to remove my ecu for an extended period of time).

P.s. I have hit my limiter a few times on my bone stock SE-R. :)
