I've had my sard injectors for a while and I decided to install them this weekend. There werent any english instructions so I went about it the best I could. I got the plugs on the harness installed easy enough, and the old injectors came out pretty easily, but then came time for putting the new injectors in. The injectors come individually pack all pre-oiled and with O-rings on them. Upon inspection, the O-rings are different sizes than stock, but the entire injector is also different than stock, so I though I'd give a shot since all the directions are in japanese. Big mistake that was. The larger-than-stock lower O-ring would not go into the lower portion of the fuel rail and the pressure of screwing it down cracked the plastic support behind it. I put the other 3 in with new oem O-rings I had lying around and they went in perfectly. I also put the new o-rings on the injector with the cracked plastic support collar hoping that it would still work. Nope. The squished collar prevents the lower o-ring from seating in the fuel rail centered and sealed. All the fuel pressure in the rail squirts out making my car a handy 2700lb paper weight. The $130 injector is still good, just the 3 cent, irremovable peice of plastic is broken.
I drive my car to school and work every day, so this needs to be fixed really fast. I need a replacement Injector ASAP, but cant find any stores that have some in stock yet. If anybody knows of a store that carries Sard injectors, Please please please let me know.
