Aight so the other day i was changing my brake pads. I didn't spray WD-40 and started loosing the calipair bolts...seemed a bit harder than usual...one thing led to another and BAM the tip of the bolt broke with more than 3/4 of it still in the brake caliber...what should i do?? Do i loosen the other bolt and take the caliber to a machine shop!?

No need yet.

Just either take the caliper off and you can keep the brake line connected and make a little table of something to rest it frimly on OR leave it on and drill a hole through the center of the broken bolt (doesn't need to be big) then use WD-40 on the broken bolt to get down into the threads and help with the extraction, get some screw outs and put it in a electric drill and use it on a slow setting IN REVERSE SETTING pressing it firmly into the hole you drilled so it catches and begins to screw the broken bolt out.

I say small hole becuase you can always go larger but you can't replace material

I have done this many times and just did it yesturday on a broken bolt in a head.

Any further questions just PM me or quote me in your thread, I usually check the threads I post to make sure my advice helps. Good luck
