Hi guys,

Really need your help badly. I installed two A/C and both broke off. I installed it properly and it didn't squeal or whine when i started. It worked perfectly fine for about 1hr or so and when i came home and started it up to find out the ac didn't work  . It was tight yet enough to be flexible

Anyone know why its ripping off?

I installed it like this

I'd keep it loose so it squeals at first, then tighten it up little by little until it doesn't, just so you know you have the tension right. Other than that, check for burrs on your pulleys, or if something is twisted/out of line.

I would think if the compressor itself was going out (seized up), then you'd be hearing a hell of a lot of squealing, smelling burned belt, etc.
You need to check every pulley that the belt touches.
