sorry but i was doing research on the defi-link meter and i have lots of question on it. i'm not good at this car stuff yet. so here goes my question, and don't laugh at me if i am wrong. give me advice. please!

do i really need the fuel pressure, oil temperature, oil pressure? and what about the water temperature, turbo, and the exhaust temperature?

i know in my 240sx now have the fuel, mph, rpm, and temperature.

can i just get rid of everything and just have the rpm, and mph? but then how do i know if i need to pump more gas is i don't have the fuel gauge?

what about the temperature, how would i know if my car is over heating if i don't have the temperature gauge?

can someone point out what gauge i need and what i don't need?

i was thinking of getting the VSD CONCEPT which has everything so i dont really need the cluster just cover up the cluster and mount the vsd on the steering shroud let it reflect toward where the old mph and rpm was at.

and about the wiring, the defi website show how to install it, but not if i can wire it till i understand more about this stuff.

thanks for your help!

Well, now that my daughter finally weighs 20lbs, I can put in my black Recaro baby seat. I will be doing that tomorrow. She'll get her first ride in the seat on the way to daycare on Monday.

Otherwise that is about it until next year for mods. I am all tapped out after buying my wheels..... which should be here very soon!

Are you suggesting that I do that!?! If so, they are already angled. Just look closer at the pic.
!?! No need to be uppity. I was commenting you on your outstanding work. A simple "please look again" would have been more than sufficient. At first, they did not look angled. I looked again, and ok, they are slightly angled for whatever suits you.

Sorry man, didn't mean to come across as "uppity"....... I am the opposite of that. They have a 30 degree angle on them. I took the pic from an angle, so they must appear somewhat straight on in the pic? Again, my bad! Here is a better pic,

Haha, thats awesome. A nice 3rd gear pull will definetely require a diaper change.

The only thing left to do to your car is DCC swap. And what kind of camera do you use? Your photography always makes me feel like I should be able to start your car from where I am.

No worries! I don't wanna ruin the positive vibes here. Sorry for taking it out of context.

Yeah! That's a better angle! Very very clean and spot on! I get tired of seeing gauges that are functional but rendered non-functional due to their placement. Little to no head movement while scanning and driving is the mark of well-designed gauge clusters and customizing. You, no doubt, have that down to a science. Thanks for being an inspiration to so many on here!

I got the HUD from my distributor. They run about $399 shipped to you. Price may have gone down now that it's been out for a little bit. They are still hard to find though. I did see one on ebay a few weeks back though.
Can you hook me up with your ditributor?? I've been looking for the concept X for a few weeks now and no one seems to know anything about it.

Awesome, totally understandable. Snap a pic of the baby seat after it's in! Can't wait to see the new wheels too!

Yeah, I pretty much poke around when she is in the car...... so probably won't be doing a 3rd gear pull. But I'm sure you are right!
