btw, your car is amazing dude
What he said, but keep in mind that the bolts themselves for the valve cover did not come from Gallery. I'm not sure how it is on other SR's, but on the S15 it uses shoulder bolts to fasten the valve cover down. So I had to custom order some stainless shoulder bolts in the specific size for the valve cover. I also had to order longer stainless bolts for the wiper motor, power steering reservoir and a couple other things. The Gallery bolts only come in one length and pitch for each specific bolt size. So I basically put together my own setup consisting of about 80 Gallery bolts/washers then had to swap out about 23 or so bolts with my own.

Oh I see. I was wondering about the lengths of the bolts myself but you answered that for me. I had a question about the DCC LED that you swapped out. See previous post thanks.

Why switch to white? Do you have a pic of the difference? can you tell us what you used as the replacement bulb? Thanks
They are not white, they are 3mm green LED's. The thing soldered to the end is a resistor. The LED's are only like a 5volt LED. So to use them with a 12 volt feed, you need to wire in a 470 ohm resistor. I don't think I have any pictures with the LED's, but I will look. Daoud picked the car up about 3 weeks ago. I'm sure he has taken some night pics... I'll check with him.

Edit:

I did find a pic I took, but I don't have any before shots of the illumination on the DCC:

Good deal, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Next time I am in Chicago I will have to try and stop by. I drive down to southern Illinois to see my daughter but al my family lives in Chicago.

What size battery did you use in your engine bay(dimensions and cranking amps? I like how yours is set up. I have 240s with SRs and my other one has the battery in the hatch but I want to keep this one in the engine bay. Oh and where did you get your battery holder from? Thanks

I love that battery too... the real question is where did you get the terminals and wires hanging off the side of the battery?

Keep in mind, the billet aluminum Braille battery tray will not work on the 17lb battery. Only the 11 and 15.

Sounds about right. Stainless is not cheap, let alone a specialty bolt like a shoulder bolt.

The belts are Kevlar belts from PE(Power Enterprise)
