You can purchase the plastic from me and the liquid plastic from any 3M paint product retailer. However, you wouldn't really use either of those to create those headlights. You would need to either carve them out of block foam, or use the skeleton technique like I did in my fiberglass how to. You would then make copies off of either of those methods by laying fiberglass mat and resin over them. Then that would be your mold and you would make the actual part off of the mold. For those headlights it's probably WAY more work than you think. But I would never deter someone from trying. I would simply suggest you start off with something more tame to practice with glass etc.

Hahahaha word?? The stuff you do is so legit haha, I want to fill my head with as much knowledge with this as I possibly can. You mentioned that I should practice more with other things before I work with glass, but I am not working with glass, just plastic to make housings or a backing for my headlights. Anyway, I sent you an e-mail the other day but you didn't get back to me, but I was wondering what gauge aluminum you used to make your catch can? I was thinking of using .25g....too thin? Also, should I send you an e-mail to get more info on the plastic? If you want you can e-mail me as well; [email protected] for the info so far man!

If you are making something similar to what you posted, then you won't be making that out of hard plastic. A part that complex would probably need to be injection molded if you wanted it out of plastic. It's not really a DIY setup. Plastic pellets are melted into an injection machine then injected into the mold. You would even need to know your stuff on fluid dynamics. I have a Bachelors in mathematics and physics and I don't know the first thing about fluid dynamics. It is very important for when you design the mold on how the liquid plastic flows into the mold, around corners etc.

Plain and simple: You will want to make them out of fiberglass if you are painting them. You can also do carbon or Kevlar etc. Once you have the mold you can make as many as you want and with any type of cloth material.... fiberglass, Kevlar, carbon, aerospace fabrics, aluminized fiberglass etc.

What's up man? I am probably picking them up in a couple weeks. It's about a 2 hour drive which is difficult with my work. I slightly changed what I am getting...... still the Gias though. Here is a picture of my seats waiting on the shelf for me,

They are pretty rare. They are the Maziora edition Gias. I bought them from Nukabe. They are the nations Cusco distributor here in Illinois...... I am a dealer for them. Nukabe use to be Bride dealers, but are no longer. These were still left over from a guy backing out of buying them. I said "don't mind if I do!" So since I am a dealer for them, I know the guys that work there(fairly local place) and they are trying to get rid of them, I am getting them at a hefty discount I would have preferred the cushions to be the black Bride logo like I posted on the Kevlar Gias above...... but they were too cheap to pass up. I can also buy the black Bride logo cushions from Bride if I want to down the road.

Yeah, you are the only one that has come through and walked the walk! Of course you are also the only one that has now benefited from the "Broadfield" touch. Wait, that didn't sound right

I believe you can also buy the graduation fabric to wrap them yourself if you wanted to go that route.

Yes, you can buy any fabric that comes on their seats. However, I don't want the gradation. I want the black Bride logo material. I will be recovering the rear seats in all Bride material. I'll do the centers in the black Bride logo and the sides of the seats in the standard black material. I will also cover the headliner in the black Bride logo material. The nice thing is I could swap out the cushion sets at will for a different look if I got sick of the current look.

It reads in a number..... so 1037 rpm. It also has the bar graph, which I assume you are referring to. I would have to go check, I never pay attention to the bar graph. I'll let you know.

OK, it has numbers 1-9. It has a hash mark between 1, 2 and 3.... so every 500rpm. Then after 3 it has a hash mark every 250rpm, with the 500rpm mark being larger than the 250 mark It also has the hash marks after 9, so it really reads up to 10k.

So basically it looks like this with a segmented bar graph that lights up above it,

1l2l3lll4lll5lll6lll7lll8lll9lll

The rpm bar graph is always there. Then above that you choose what gauge you want displayed in digital form. So I can have RPM, Speed, Boost, EGT, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, Water Temp or Oil Temp. I run speed as my default. Any of those can be displayed in metric or imperial on the HUD. It will also throw up the warning on the HUD if any of the gauges reach your pre-determined warning. It also will do dual shift lights on the HUD. You can then program it for "if's" and "or's" So at idle it shows my RPM. If I start to move though it shows my speed. You can program it display a particular gauge reading if that gauge reaches a certain value of your choice.

The Valentine would be far too big for this setup. Now I could mold you something bigger from scratch, but it would need to be thicker and a lot deeper.
