Not sure if he's still around, but try member 'needforjdm'. That's who I bought mine from before my car was stolen... It was over a year ago, though.

Ghasty,What exactly did you have Broadfield make for you? I'm trying to figure it out but I can't quite tell what it is by looking at it.

Broadfield,Are you actually molding the plastic? If so, where do you get plain sheets of plastic and what do you use to mold them? I've been looking for some sheet plastic in stores but I can't seem to find any locally.

I must go to work but to make it short and sweet. (i hope he does not mind me posting pictures) Let me share with you a few pictures of the process.

As you can see i wanted the lime in the coconut, and he clearly put the lime in the coconut. Tis beautiful!

Check out my Thread for more pictures of the whole process from start to finish.

You really need to come up with something difficult for me to do. That will be cake! I'll polish the front plastic on the DCC also so it looks as good as mine.

Here is his thread:

zer...age=4

I think the pics of the turbo timer mod start at the bottom of page 4

I did not use sheet plastic to form it. Rather liquid plastic to shape, add in and fill in the dome light holes. You'll see in the pics..... it's the milky white stuff. I do however keep sheet plastic(ABS) in stock in different thicknesses. All of it can be formed with a lot of heat, but it's not something you want to try and make complex parts. Simple bends etc. are fine. I also have heat mold-able plastic that is a lot easier to bend, but you still wouldn't want to do anything crazy with it. The heat mold-able isn't as strong as the standard ABS though...... you take the good with the bad.

Very cool, If any maintenance needs to be done to the wiring you can clean it up as well i am going to assume. (I do not know what maintenance on a DCC harness would entail but i am just throwing that out there)

I do not know what it would be called, i am guessing the dash trim? It surrounds the DCC and the Radio? well i am going to be going to the pick n pull to try and harvest me a few that are not broken on the backside (the clips). If they are in rough shape but not broken can you bring them back to life? By that i mean just get it back to looking clean. Because mine looks nice but it does not snap in place and that just kills it for me, even though it does not move around. Me just knowing that it is not snapped in place kills me. Any way i would send that up with the DCC

Haha and don't you worry i WILL think of something, to try and challenge you believe me.

Just to let you know, I am very stoked about the circuit sports exhaust it seems as if they still have some in stock and i ordered mine on Friday morning. We we will see if i get an e-mail saying i get one or sorry i was to late and that life is not fair hahaha.

Carry on!

Sometimes i get carried away when i get typing.

Ghasty

broadfield, in your opinion, what would be the best fix for a cracked dash? I worry about buying a factory one off of the classifieds because if mine cracked, how long before that one cracks? sorry to go off on a limb here, but it seems that you have interiors down to a science.

Well, I have done a butt load of interior repairs on customer vehicles and my own..... but have never had to do a cracked vinyl repair. However, I have seen others have great success with this kit.

http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump...ODUCT

It comes with several colors that you can mix together to get what ever color you need. It also comes with pieces of material that you press on over the repair as it's drying to give you the correct texture. Like anything it will take practice and you will probably find your own method of application that may even work better than the instructions. Good Luck!

Broadfield your turn signal and wiper control stalks look like they are in very good condition, did you replace them or are they original? I know they tend to fade over time.

They are original along with all of the other plastic in the car. I use a interior plastic protectant that works really well and makes plastic, vinyl etc look nice and rich..... not shiny.

Hey, I remember that boot

Yes, I have some pretty sick interior upgrades in the works. I am hoping it will start here in a couple months or so. I will be doing it in a couple stages..... so I hope to have the whole thing completed by the end of the summer.

Hey broadfield, I'm interested in that liquid plastic stuff you were talking about, as well as that head bendable plastic.

I'm trying to get into molding/ making my own pieces and right now my project is to mold my own headlight housings, kind of like this:..... only they will not be so ugly... at all.. no..

I Googled around a little to find some sites that I can order what I'm looking for but I can't seem to find any legit places. I keep finding this place though:http://www.rplastics.com/plasticsheet.html

If you could give me a few tips and point me in the right direction, that would be great!
