No, I am just naturally creative, handy and anal. I own a high-end custom car audio/home theater shop. I have been installing for 14 years and have about 24,000 cars under my belt. So needless to say I stay in good form. I do have 3 Bachelors degrees, but none of them really have to do with my profession.

Anyone who thinks their S-chassis is "baller" needs to have a gander at this thread, then go home and pout in the corner.

Broadfield's S13 is as clean as they come.

No need - AutoMeter makes angled gauge rings (looks like what Broadfield used). I just sold a set on here a couple months ago.

I just built a new house, so maybe I should have a Sunday cookout for the local/semi-local Nissan guys. I am about 3 hours North of you on I-55 and less than 2 hours South of Chicago on I-55. It would be a good central meeting area. We could then do some cruising in the afternoon.

I'll put something together.

Did you get the "VSD Concept" or the "VSD X"? Neither will project onto the carbon at all. The Concept projects onto a reflective film mounted a few inches away on the windshield..... and only works at a certain angle. The X only reflects onto the reflective acrylic mounted directly behind it. The angle of the acrylic is predetermined and not adjustable. The angle of visibility would come from angling the entire unit. Give me a holler if you have any more questions. I want to make sure it's going to work for you like you think it is. Part of the coolness factor of the HUD is that it ties in with all of the other Defi gauges. I just want to make sure you realize that only the tach and speedo feature will work with your setup.

p.s. You going to be able to make it down to my cookout when I have it?

I have a S15 swap with a Power FC, so the CEL had gone bye-bye anyway. Odometer.... who cares, and I know when my e-brake is on or not by simple evaluation.

Thanks for the props,
