hey, just installed my dc 4-2-1 headers on my spec and have gotten much better gas milage. Not because of the headers themselves but because of the honda rice sounds my exhaust now makes. So that means the car doesnt go above 3k unless no one is around haha.

anyway, im glad i dont have to worry about precat issues (or any cat for that matter) anymore but now something NEEDS to be done about my exhaust. I have been seriously considering BRM and have heard great things but I can not find a sound clip anywhere of a spec with headers and a BRM cat back. I just dont want to spend 400 $ and end up not liking the sound.

will the 22" resonator on the BRM get rid of my rice?

ps i dont mind louder exhusts, just not ricey raspy ones

The QR has a bit of natural rasp to it, but a big resonator is going to mute most of it.

Sadly, I've never seen/heard a clip of an SE-R with a BRM and a header.

That said, of all of the exhausts I've heard, the BRM definitely gets rid of the most buzz, with the NISMO unit coming second in that category.

Are you using the stock exhaust right now? If so, that has to sound awful...

haha yea its the stock exhuast, it sounds bamf when i start it up, and when im light on the throttle to about 3k, but put it under any kind of load and i sound like a d15 civic with a straight pipe

anyway- yea i guess ill prob drop some money on the BRM, and then take a clip for other people to hear if they need to

so much money

Please do get a clip and add it to the exhaust thread.
