i was wondering on the sticky about using the supra maf for the 240sx. i have a spare supra maf and it has 5 pins the 240sx has 3? how do you hook it up? it says a little on the install in the sticky but not enough for me to know which wire goes where? can any one help me? it came from a non turbo supra but it looks exactly the same. i tried hooking it up but i had no luck.

Doesnt work like that, each maf is different. You need something to trick your stock ecu into thinking that it is getting a reading from a stock Maf. A SAFC2 or a ECU tune will do the trick.

Why do you want to put a supra maf in your 240 though?

You need to find out which wires go to what on the supra mafs and match them to the 240 harness. The 300zx mafs is also a five wire but you don't use all the wires, just ecu signal, 12 volt and ground.

yeah i do have a safc NEO. i just spent severalhour on it agian and got some readings on the supra maf on the neo. some were .2% and some wire setup were 23% when the motors not even on? when i started switching wire with the car runing, when the computer read .2% or 23% instead of the 100% when the maf isn't connected it stalled the car out? although at one point i got 100% but when the idle droped the percentage drop too? but it wasn't runing good at any rate. i could smell the gas.

okay i think i found the problem is being able to change the settings on the safc? quote:

"as far as i know it should work , its a hot wire sensor type 0- 5 volts output and there is map for it in safc so soon im going to try to do it " unquote.this is from one of his post zerothread?id=162047

i have a safc NEO. never seen any map change ability? he has a safc2? does any one know how i can change the map settings on a NEO?

Hes just talking about the in/out settings.

This is from the Apexi website, it tells you what settings you need. From the looks of it, the maf you have is not a hot wire maf if it really came off a 2jz non turbo. The supra 2jz-T is a hotwire maf though. The setting for it is HW-12. Have you tried that yet or are you still fighting the wiring?
