I sent a message to my local dealer inquiring about availability of 2001 I30t with Navigation and recieved the following response:

Quote »Thank you kindly for your interest in our dealership and Infiniti's I30t. First of all, please note that a factory NAV was not available in the I30t however, it is available as an option in the I35; unless, of course, you would be open-minded to an after-market NAV.[/quote]Really? No navigation? I wonder what's included in the "Infiniti Navigation System & Audio Package" then.

Great...do these guys actually not want to sell me a car? Know the product you're selling....

Since it was ONLY available in the 01, I'd call that an honest mistake.

The I35 debuted immediately afterward, so it doesn't seem like that big a screw-up.

True...the odd thing though is that this dealer has an '01 with nav in stock, it's just not labelled as such.

I'd say that's a DAMN rare car. When I worked at the dealership, I sold a metric crapton of 01 I30's (Infiniti Program Cars), and I NEVER saw one with NAV. Ever.

Those cars are a HUGE bang for the buck, altho I'd prefer an 02 I35.

Yeah I would prefer the I35 as well. I just figure an '01 I30 would be less expensive than an '02 I35...the sport package (which is a must for me coming from a G20) is also extremely hard to find....then again so is the touring package on the I30.

If sport suspension is that big of a thing for you, just buy the SE rear suspension from a 5th gen max owner... lots of folks (at least on the .org) sell their stock suspension all the time after moving to aftermarket. And the rear suspension is the only difference.
