Just hook up the trans sensor, and then you will have stock ones. As far as visablity is concerned, uh, are you suggesting maybe that you would like to add a set of fog lights to the rear of the car because you cant see out the back window while reversing. If so, find a place to mount them, mount a switch, wire them up, and flip the switch when your backing up. Keep in mind it is completely illigal to turn them on when you are driving foward. I only know that because I had a set on my K5 blazer and used to use them for tailgaters. That got me in some trouble.

a friend of mine put brighter reverse lights in his formula firechicken, he said it was a lot easier to see backing up in the dark.

Haha, I wired up a switch for my reverse lights on my old 944, and used 15w bulbs instead of 5w.

I used to blind/scare the s*** out of people that thought they were cool cause they could ride a Porsche's a**. Never got in trouble either...

oh, so u didn't rule out a fuse, or bad connections, or a burnt out light bulb yet?

for your upgrade to a brighter bulb:

thinking of replacing a standard #1156 bulb in a plastic housing w/ a halogen light bulb like this? risking melting of the housing?

but w/ newer LEDs out there, i guess the better way to go is the following:

^ I don't think you will have to worry about meltng the housing considering they are LEDs and the amount of time your reverse lights are on.

Those look like they would be bright, nice

here, this one:

this one that the biker had reviewed... but this halogen one is old=skool, so LEDs are are a better upgrade...
