I got bright eyes windshield washer nozzels, and i cant find a power source to hook the positive wires to. I cant wire it directly to the battery, or it will run constantly, and I tried splicing it into what I thought was the headlight, but it was still lit, even with the headlights turned out. Can anyone tell me where I can hook this up so it only comes on when my headlights are on? And where the wires are located. I dont have a FSM, and I did a search and couldnt figure anything out.

You could always run them from the battery but with a switch, then down the road you could hook other thing up to it so that you can turn it all on or off with one switch.

Matt, why not put yours on a switch too? Unless you ABSOLUTELY can't stand them(I know a lot of ppl despise them cus they think they are "rice").

It's a 91 S13. Thanks for the warning about getting pulled over... But lots of people around here have them and get away with it, so I'll deal with it if it happens :)

Shadowknight: How do you "put it on a switch"? I am completly retarded with wires in this case. This is the first thing I've done to my car. I have the flippy switch that makes the headlights go up but not turn on (I think it's actually supposed to be foglights) So do you know where the wires for that would be? Thanks for the advice so far, and thanks in advance!

You should hook the wires up to your throttle position sensor. That way, the more gas you give it, the brighter the lights will be. That would get everyone's attention, because it's all about the image. You could use the flux capacitor as a power source. It would be SOOOO sweet.

Well since you seem to have decided to hook them to the side markers I don't think you need this now but in case you wanna hook it up so you can turn them off and leave the rest of the lights on, here it is:

Oh and Vengeance, where did you find that little gif of the spinning car? I see several of them and I keep looking for a red spinning 180sx.

windhield wiper lights (I.E. Mega-Rice) are Illegal in California, just incase you are in CA.....your profile doesnt specify. It is YOUR car, and YOU ultimately decide whether or not you want them on your car. I noticed that Matt4PL was interested in the stock units...I am too, if you want to sell them PM me. I will buy them ASAP....if the price isnt rediculous.

yes--i bleieve they are illigal everywhere now. Unless you feel like drawiung more attention to yourself than you probably already do driving a 240--then dont hook them up.

Actually, here in Cali they're legal if it's white or orange

They are considered front running/indicator lights (if they are one of those two colors), I've thought about hooking some up to my turn signals since alot of big *** trucks cannot see der turn signals down below :(

It might be cool to have some wired up to blink with the turn signals but otherwise... no.

There is a hookup for these lights already built into the car. They are located right next to your blinker fluid, but you have to take the cap off to get to it.

:rolleyes oh, ok, my blinker fluid! I get it now!! wow, that was way too funny! Thanks so much! I think I probably need to refll that while I'm hooking up the lights. Wouldnt want to get pulled over for being out of it. And I had my flux capacitater removed, ziggy... I think if you checked your backside, you'd find it though:D Look, I know most of you are anti rice, but it's MY car. I just came on here for help, and thanks to Matt I got it. And thanks to Shadowknight, I now have a diagram so I can hook it up to my LCD hyper-bright tipped toggle switch, so now I'm uber cool. To bunta and Matt, the stock ones are from an s13. email me at [email protected] if you still want them... I wont take any body parts I promise.

Just a couple of things. I've installed over 100 of these on PT Cruisers at shows for his business. There are a few different kits. Other than the visual appearance, the hardware has some differences. Some come with a hard plastic spacer, a metal washer, a spring washer and a nut. Any kits that have a spring washer, ditch the spring washer. The nozzle itself is plastic and this washer tends to put too much tension on it causing the nozzle to eventually break. Do not overtighten. Again, they are plastic. I prefered the kits that used a rubber spacer. It was much easier to tighten in order to keep the nozzle on tight while not putting too much stress on it.

Aslo, these things are not of the best quality. You may have to adjust their aim using a pin. And they tend to weep water while the water pump is not on. It's a hit and miss on these. If it does weep, just drain the line between uses by disconnecting the rubber hose and letting some of the water out.

I'm just easily amused.. I love things that flash and light up, so I think i'll get some orange ones and paint them black so it doesnt look at flashy n ****e..

I think its a good idea.. helps alert other drivers, and if you have a problem with leaving your blinker on (silly noob), hopefully a flashing orange hood will help you remember

Not everyone will like it, but it will amuse me.. and it's my car, so if you don't like it:

1) Shuttup2) You're stupid (it is for safety too - not just to entertain me)3) Get in line to suck my bigness.

i bought some of these today since the plastic on the stock ones rotted off and it wouldnt spray right. cut off the leads and masked over the sprayer nozzles and painted them black. good as new.

If I had these and got cited for impersonating an officer, I would fight it. I'd be fine with an equipment violation, but I don't see there being intent by anyone who has blue or red nozzlelight to actually impersonate an officer. Last time I checked, cops weren't sporting nozzlelights. Damn, I almost want to put some blue ones on just to get cited for that and then embarrass the officer in court.
