Looks like I'll have to drive my coupe this winter, rather than baby it by leaving it in the garage. I'm not particularly worried about snow. We don't get a lot of it here in DC, and when we do everything pretty much closes down so you don't really have to drive in it. If we had a lot of snow I would do winter wheels and tires. The problem is Michelin says don't use the Pilot Sports in "near freezing" temperatures. We do get a lot of near freezing and below freezing days here.
I'm thinking about putting Bridgstone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position all season tires on the stock 18 inch wheels as permanent replacements for the Michelins. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm not hard on the car, using it mainly for touring and day to day driving, so I don't anticipate any problems. But I just thought I'd ask.
On another, obliquely related question, how many miles have people gotten from a set of Michelin Pilot Sports?
