I just saw a new G37 coupe here in town with this setup. I was at home depot in the parking lot giving the guy props on his Brembo setup and he smiled and said, "thanks, but look closer" So I looked closer and said, "yes, nice setup." His car looked official with the cross drilled rotors, red brembos, rims, lowered, etc.. so I didnt second guess until he explained himself.

look here for details:zerothread?id=359085

He is actually aware of Nico and saw info posted on this site. hmmm

I wonder if Brembo knows that their name is being misused in this way!

And, if the glue gets onto the calipers, and they can't stop in time and hit the car ahead of them, yikes!

The Brembo setups SUCKED on the early G35 coupes... so why would anyone want to imitate them?

Brembo makes one of the premeir braking setups for track use - they're known worldwide for the amount of stopping power they can provide.

For street use, it's just plain overkill though.

I had a 2003 G35 Coupe (M6) with the Brembo option and they really were the worst performing brakes I've ever had PLUS when it came time to do a brake job it cost $2400 to do it because both the pads and the rotors are designed to wear together and both need to be replaced. The second time I replaced them with a Hawk setup that was much better. IMO Infiniti was wise to dump them on later versions of the coupe and to finally come up with their own performance braking system that performs much better than the Brembo's ever did.

Believe it or not, there is an actual Brembo kit available for the Y34. It is the kit for the F50 Q45. Unfortunately, it costs 3-4k.ML
