Hey, My s13 needs a brake job because the rear caliper is rubbing. I dont have the money for a 5 lug w/ 300zx upgrade. i was looking at parts and i was thinking about using brembo drilled rotors. they are twice the price of an OEM replacement though. is it worth it or should i go OEM replacement?Yes i know there is a brake forum but i would like a General response from only 240 people seeing as how its not a technical question. thanks alot guys

And remember, if you are wanting to save money, you do NOT need cross-drilled for the rears. The percentage of braking is generally a rule of thumb 75% front to the 25% rear when you are heavy on the brakes. You will want the cross-drilled and/or slotted on the front brakes before you should even think about getting them for the rear.

And as said, you can get BREMBO blanks for cheap from NOPI. Hell, you could even use the Autozone and NAPA ones for a little cheaper, since they are blank as well.

It all depends on the money you have and what your priorities are......

cross drilled rotors are jsut bling, blanks work jsut as well.....if you want beter stopping power just upgrade your pads, the lines, and calipers if you really need them

I ordered brembo blanks. my reasoning is it wasnt worth it for the amount of time i will be "abusing" my brakes. i think i did just want it for the bling factor as someone said before. O well, ill live. i saved some money to go towards exhaust and suspension!

what makes cross drilled rotors so good that makes them 4 times more expensive as jsut regular rotors? the fact that they warp and crack really easy or because they wear your pads faster? if you want better stopping power upgrade things like pads and calipers....don't waste money on fancy drilled rotors
