I just took my v to my nissan techs @ work they tried the sentra brembo package, caliper and rotor. The caliper lines up good, but the rotor is to far in. Looks like if you get some washer, or spacer 1/2 inch and nismo longer studs this swap might just work. The tech said yes it might, or might not. I will be trying a different hub. See what is compatible

That sounds cool. But isn't putting high-performance brakes on a Versa kinda like putting a turbo on a moped?

There's not a whole lot of point to doing this mod.

Stillen already makes sport rotors for the Versa, and I'm sure EBC isn't far behind.

Also, there is a Big Brake Kit available for the Versa, though incredibly pointless unless they decide to make a rear disc conversion kit at some point.

The Versa has too much front brake bias. It needs better rear brakes before the fronts can be realistically improved.

Maybe you and the tech guys at Nissan can put together a rear disc conversion kit together shouldn't be too hard.

Actually, that IS a good idea, lain... (never thought you'd see me write that, eh?)

Bluev - want a project? do that instead... rear disc conversion. THAT would be useful.

THE ONLY REASON I TRIED PUTTING THE BREMBO PACKAGE IS BECAUSE I COULD GET EACH CALIPER @ $200.00 EACH MY PRICE.(EMPLOYEE)SO I'LL WORK ON A REAR DISK CONVERSION.

So how would one go about changing drum brakes to disk brakes?

Take out the drum brakes and switch them with the disk breakes, make sure everything is connected and drive off. I'm sure there is a little more then that but I wouldn't know till I take see the car with the drum brakes off, but I know it can be done.

I am running Sentra OEM steel rims with winter tires on my Versa...same bolt pattern, same center size, just an inch wider rim. Still works out fine for the bigger than stock, 205 70 15 iPike Hankooks...

(Pep Boys "buy 4 get one free sale"= 49.95 ea)

The Versa steers so straight and quiet down the road with these winter tires .... it's spooky!
