I know it's a stupid question but can somebody please tell me how to unscrew those big mother ...... bolts to take the calipper off? Is it clockwise or the other way around?

I know that but I've tried so hard and was afraid to break it.BTW brake pads are so easy to replace couldn't believe it.Took me half hour for all 4.Will try the calipers again tomorrow.Thanks.
