The other day as I started up my '91 Q45 with no problem at all. I goto pull out of a parking lot and I notice my car starting to idle rough....REALLY rough! I looked down at the dash and the 'check engine' light was on.  I started thinkin, "oh great....this things toast!" It only acted this way for about 15 seconds and then the idle went smooth and the light turned off. Is this something I should be concerned about, or just dismiss it as the computer just having a brain-fart? Really spooked me out there! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! :D

Sounds a lot like a MAF sensor problem, though it could be anything. The code is still stored until you start the car another 50 (?) times. Check the connector, and check the code.

Daedalus is right. Activiation code gets stored for the next 50 starts. Sounds like a code 51, fuel injection. Pull the ECM and check. Mine has done it 3 or 4 times a year, and always returns to normal.

Maybe it's all those neon lights driving your electrical system crazy?! :D
