Even though im wondering about a 4AGE motor, i know my KA was the same way. does putting a breather filter on the valve cover instead of routing a line to the intake (thru catchcan or stock line) hurt piston ring life? ive been told that the case needs vacuum for rings to work their best. is this true? will a breather valve decrease ring life?-Enzo

changing the oil can net you 6hp on a small block. its a different story for a 1.6L four. more to the point, anyone have opinions on using breather vs. a catch can routed back into intake ??-Enzo

the cylinder pressures are several thousand psi, i doubt a 10 psi difference is going to matter. most people do it so they don't get oil and crap in the intake.
