I was driving today and all of a sudden I heard clunk.10 miles down the road, my 96 240sx began to overheat, I was like what the F***K . At first I thought it was my thermostat, than I tried to drive it home, when it got to the top of hot, I shut the engine and put it in neutral. After 10 min, I got tired and decided to try to fix it. I noticed that my fan was'nt spinning and my breather filter was off. A closer look showed that my belt got knocked off by my filter and jacked everything up . I put my belt back on and my car ran perfect, thank god, cuz I was out of town . Now it has no topend pull whatsoever, do u guys think I jacked something up?? I'm turboing next weekend too, so hopefully, it did'nt jack anything up. It's a t28 watercooled turbo. And yes, I'm doing it myself.
