breaking up at high rpm's

well i was driving my car today and i got on it in 2nd gear and i noticed that around 5,500 rpm's it started to chug.....?other than that its running fine....

I was having the same problem last week. Im still trying to figure it out, but wont be able to until i finish my finals.

Mine is doing it too... except mine is the FPR being overrun by the fuel pump. I can see my AFR's hit the 10.0:1 mark and then the wideband just reads "---" and puffs of black smoke come out the exhaust.

well he replaced his fpr with a sr unit. and has a walbro pump. i have yet to hook my wideband up to it to see what were running. but i will this weekend. all it feels like is its running way too rich.

Injectors. At least what it was on mine. Buy some cleaner.

i had this problem and i still occasionally do...mine ran like that till i replaced fuel pump with a 255 walbro and messed with the CAS what i did was i checked the CAS and it was set to the topmost side...so i turned it to where the old marks were at and it ran better (i know i shouldnt without a tuning device but i needed to)...

im gessing it "chugs" at high rpms cuz of fuel cuz when i run my car with > 1/4tank it does that but when i got more than 1/2 tank it revvs like a muffaka! lol ...cant run much if your hungry

i had the same problem on my stock motor..it was running rich and burning the plugs up....try to change your spark plugs
