I did a quick search through the forums to see if there had been a unanimous notion on how how they broke in their AC or Nissan, but was unable to come up with anything concrete!

I know there is no "right" way to do it, but after looking through a few posts, I had a few questions.

1) How much validity is there to the argument that driving at "burst speeds" while cruising is good for the breaking in period? More specifically, its been stated that this is done to make the valve seals a more perfect fit.

2) I purchased the Nissan package that has my oil changes covered, etc. and after reading many of the forums, it has come in high recommendation that you use synthetic oil. Is this what the dealership would be using?

This is my first car and I want to do it right. Any suggestions/thoughts/discussion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome! I changed to synthetic as soon as I could, and I've noticed the motor has significantly better cold startups in the cold weather here, and since synthetic breaks down less easily, you'll have less chance of getting oil deposits in the engine.
