breaking in a new motor swap

im getting close to having my rb25det swap complete and was wondering what is a good break in time i know your not suppose to rev it when you start it up but how long to i need to wait before i can and after that how long should i drive i teasy before i turn the boost up and kick it.

its not a new engine, just a used one being swapped?

warm it up, check for leaks, then go beat the **** out of it.

I'd give it about 100 miles before you really start flogging it. Odds are that the motor has sat for a long time and the oil seals need some time to get lubed and soft again. Plus, you want to make sure all the bugs are worked out before you start creating your own.

If you installed a new clutch or any new rotating parts, they do require some break-in period as well.
