in your honest opinion, how much would it take to get S14 with RB25DET into the 10s? i am thinking about a wide-*** 600 on boost and probibly 100 shot of NO2. Think that will do it?

The problem isn't so much making more power, it all depends on really making sure that power gets to the ground and is used to it's full potential.

For example, you want wide sticky rubber for good launchs, (with flex walls if your going all out)

Proper gearing so that your topping out 5th gear at the end of the run

Reduced weight be easier launches and better power to weight, without having to add more power and again, worry about putting it to the ground

Less rotational mass and unsprung weight...

I'm not a drag racer, but those components are just as important if not more so then just more power...

Oh i almost forgot, good reaction times, good shifts, a good driver...

You could do it with 600hp and weight reduction; good driver obviously.

I think he means break into the 10's, not out of them.

Night's saying that 550-600 is good to get into 10s, but 700 is enough to break the 10sec (like in the title) and into a 9sec .25.

edit: oops, yeah. So the question is, what did he mean? Break into or out of 10s?

HE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT IT WILL TAKE HIM TO GET INTO THE TENS.

I THINK WITH ALITTLE WEIGHT REDUCTION, STIFFER SUSPENSION (W/ LITTLE TO NO SQUAT OR DIVE), TRUE CLUTCH OR HELICAL LSD, MORE REAR GRIP, AND ABOUT 450-500WHP AND A GOOD REACTION/60 FOOT AND YOU WILL BE IN THE TENS...... SHOOT FOR A 2800LB VEHICAL WEIGHT WITH YOU AND YOUR "RACING" GAS LEVEL IN IT.

yes i mean to get into 10a, but if its only going to take another 100 hp to break it, why the hell not.

if i remember correctly, a roll cage and helmet are what required at that speed.

Quote »600 on boost[/quote] with that amount of power, a good set of tires and suspession you can hit mid 10's easy.
