I am running the TEIN HE coilover kit, spring rate 460lbs front - 360lbs rear. They are a bit too stiff for daily driving. The roads aren't all great out here and I am worried about breaking something on one of these pot holes.

I was considering ordering a custom spring rate coil from Eibach, I can get an identical sized coil with a 250, 300, or 350 spring rate for $60 each. I am thinking about running with that to smooth out the ride.

Don't get me wrong the TEIN is awesome for sliding the a$$ out, but they are breaking my back!

What do you think?

Sure why not. What is the point of having a suspension set-up if you can't enjoy the ride on a daily basis.

A great suspension set-up differs from the track and daily driven roads. A stiff ride is great for the track, but bad on streets and a soft ride is great on streets and not as good on the track. You can't have it all in one suspension set-up without sacrificing the other.

I personally have an eibach pro kit & Koni Sport set-up, and that is perfect for the roads that I live on (road quality really sucks). My car previously had no name coilovers that came with it and I did not enjoy driving at all. Now I can not corner as flat, however the joy of driving my car with is set-up is all that I need to enoy my 240sx (for now : ) )

A 9/7 spring rate should not be for daily drivers. I have 9/7 D2 coilovers and its rough but I like the ride and control. But I only drive my 240 2-3 times a week and less now since its winter.
