Break lights work, running lights/dash dont, headlights at different brightness

New to Nico hope you guys can help! got this Z off ebay, 1990 2+2 na, had a friend from NY test drive it before i bought it. He drove it during the day so everything seemed legit. Got a DUI the first night i drove it, the running lights dont work but the break lights do? even though they are the same bulb? also the dash doesnt light up and the headlights are at different brightness. All fuses have been checked. I trashed the HID conversion lights and replaced them with OEM spec lights. It does have an aftermarket cdplayer and replaced all of the factory speakers with 6.5 audiobahns, i had the speakers and cd player prof done. The prev owner did replace the steering wheel. Any ideas before i try rewiring the entire car i dont know what else to do! thanks
