break lights dont turn off

okay so i go outside for work i see my car has a flat tire. so i replaced with a spare i had, then guess what my car didnt start... my battery was dead. so i got the jumper cables and a buddy let me use his car to start mine. and i wonderd why i have such bad luck and why it died because it was just working fine yesterday. so i look around see if anything is on with all my switches off, then i realize my BREAK LIGHTS are on and no One is pressing the breaks. if anybody could let me know whats going on with them i would appreciate the help.

theres a sensor on the brake pedal bracket thing. adjust that accordingly. that should do it.

There is a rubber garment at the bottom of your brake pedal. It fell out or broke off.
When you press on the brake pedal the rubbber garment hits a button which turns on your brake lights.
You can buy a new one at nissan for like $8 bucks or tap a penny there.

found that rubber piece on the floor in little pieces. it broke off. same thing happnd to my clutch a while back. i just replaced the rubber piece with a little bolt & screw. works fine now. THANX GUYS!!

Anyone have a picture of the rubber part? I seem to have vacuumed it up because mine started doing it after i cleaned the car.... there are 2 switches there do they both have the rubber things?

yes there is two switches. you need both of them for the breaklights to work properly. heres wut it looks like peiced together wut i found.

i just fixed it with by putting this little bolt & nut in place of the rubber piece. works fine and now i know it wont come off anymore
