break light stays on in dash

Hello fellow Nissan Owners/Lovers.This is my first post!

For some reason my brake light stays on in my dashboard.What triggers this light?

It dims (just a little) when I put the emergency brake down, but stays lit.

try the float inside the mc res. on son's '94 it once got stuck down even when fluid was full. so, make sure it is really floating.

How do I get the screen off?

it should be a very light press fit. if you have a lot of gookus in there, it may be harder. dont poke thru the mesh with a screwdriver.
