Break-In Recommedations on Brand New 2011 QX56

Who knows or has opinions on break in recommendations for a brand new 2011 QX56?

I would assume same as most other cars. My general guideline is always drive it for 1000 miles with a mixture of city and freeway driving. Probably not a good idea to tow anything with it and if you do, only do it for a few miles. Any other thoughts?

Reason I ask is two fold...

1. I may be purchasing a new QX from a dealership considerably far away from me and won't be able to drive it back since it would not be able to be broken in correctly?

2. When I do get it, I need to tow my boat with it. One trip I take about 2x per summer is about a 400 mile drive with boat in tow. I definately would want to get the QX broken in before that trip.

Don't sweat it getting from a dealer that is far away, I have don this several times. DO NOT use the cruise control, and simply fluctuate speeds and RPM's on the way home. Dont be heavy on the throttle either. No prob at all though.

Break in is usually 1000-1500 miles.
