While numerous people have stated you don't have to worry much about the breakin period I would take it easy for the first 1000 miles.

For the first 1000 miles:

1. Keep the RPMs under 4k.
2. Don't use cruise control for long periods of time.
3. Don't floor it from a standstill.

After you hit 1k miles, change the oil and filter then drive normal!

change oil at 1000 miles even though the manual says 3750? so change at 1000 and again at 3750?

I get that crap out early...changed mine at 1200 miles. Used my dealership's free oil change with 2 quarts of ester oil. At 3-4k I'll put in royal purple.

yes what joe said. main thing is keeping the rpms low and not driving at a constant speed ie cruise control for the first 1k miles try driving back roads or something highway not recommended going over 65mph. right when thats all over change the oil and :shifter:

Just drive how you plan on driving and change the oil. It's all hype.

It is going to be a PITA to drive like grand ma. It was extremely hard for me when my engine was replaced.

That's not what the manufacturer recommends... :slap:
