Any info on break-in period for the V8 M45 before the RPM's should be pushed to higher, yet safe levels?

Different schools of thought on this one!

My personal approach is to seat the pistons and rings properly by not obeying any "keep it low" kind of advice. The local Infiniti dealer service rep also agreed with hard revs from day one as being better for the engine in the long run.

My suggestion is to do a few hard rev's periodically, change engine oil (and oil filter) and fluids failry often in the first few hundreds to thousands of miles. Don't baby the engine at all ... avoid lugging it (hills, high-gear, low-rpm conditions) in the break-in period and later too!

There are a few posts on this topic (from me and other), so please do a search and you will find them.
