Hey guys and gals,

Just curious...has anyone put a bra on their G? Not the clear 3M bra but the leather one? Do you feel it "cheapens" the look of the car? Maybe it looks good...I dunno.

Your thoughts....

Personally I don't care for them. But I would use one on a long trip if I didn't have a clear bra. Open roads tend to have more bugs around it. Open roads tend to promote higher speeds. The combination of these two promote paint chips.

3M clear bra ftw. I've seen them in person, they look great, you can hardly tell. But, if you are super concerned about your paint then get the leather bra, only for long trip though, If you leave it on all the time your paint will stay nicer under the bra then the rest of it. another turn off w/ the bra is it traps moisture, and can promote rust and corrosion. I have a pic of one on a 350Z, i know its not the same car but close. you can make your own decisions, but those are the facts.

Edit: heres the pic for you.

Thats a good idea, only use it for a long trip. The paint becomes discolored if left on the car for a prolonged period of time. Personally, I think they look ugly...

Had one that I used on my black 97 cobra coupe for trips. Left it on one night, it got wet and was left on by accident the next day. It was sunny. It caused the paint to look milky! It took a few days to get the color back to normal. Good for trips. Mine was a Colgan brand. Worked great.
